Hi everyone! I noticed it's been just over a month since my last post here so I wanted to draft a quick update to let everyone know where development is right now!

So in my last update, I was partially finished with importing Yuu's script and that was my focus.

Currently, Yuu's script is entirely imported with the final word count for Gilded Shadows being 1,036,000 words with all 9 routes.  I did a slow play through to do preliminary testing as well. And then created and coded all the flowcharts (as well as doing a quick test run of all of them).

I coded in all the BGs, music and SFX...

And now I am coding sprite expressions which are about half complete. All of Morgan's expressions have been coded through the route and she makes up around 50% of the total expressions. I'll be working on finishing up the remaining expressions this week then moving into sprite creation for the remaining side characters and then CGs and beta testing.

I've already drawn a few sprite variations for Morgan and Yuu (secondary outfits and new hairstyles and the like.

I've done a few other small things such as coding in the achievements for Steam as well as the ending screen and the like but mostly focused on the big stuff for the time being!

I was hoping to be in beta testing by mid-August but it looks like it's going to get pushed to late August most likely. I've really slowed down a lot with my development pace and it's genuinely just fatigue. We're still moving along at a decent pace - just not as fast as I was this time last year.

So yeah, that's where the game stands right now. Remaining work:

• Finishing staging the sprite expressions
• Side character sprite art
• CG art
• Beta testing
• A few small things like adding glossary links
• Creating walk through and content guide

The light is visible at the end of the tunnel but it's still a pretty long tunnel to traverse. We're getting there slowly but surely though.
